On the beautiful morning of 21 October 2025, at around 6:00 AM, I visited the National Botanical Garden in Mirpur, Dhaka. It was a refreshing escape from the busy city life β surrounded by nature, calmness, and pure air. The Botanical Garden is one of the largest plant conservation centers in Bangladesh, covering about 84 hectares of land. It is home to more than 50,000 trees representing around 1,200 species of local and exotic plants.
The morning atmosphere was peaceful β a light mist, birds singing, and the scent of fresh flowers filled the air. As a Software Developer, I spend most of my days in front of a screen, so this kind of nature retreat truly helps me recharge and find mental peace.
As you enter the garden, youβll see sections filled with diverse plant collections such as Bamboo Grove, Orchid House, Cactus Section, and Rose Garden. Each section has its own unique charm. The morning sunlight reflecting on the leaves creates a breathtaking view that feels straight out of a painting.
Many visitors come here early in the morning for walking, photography, or simply to spend quality time with family. The entire area is clean, well-maintained, and eco-friendly. The Department of Forestry manages and preserves the garden beautifully, ensuring that nature and biodiversity are well protected.
If you live in Dhaka and wish to enjoy a peaceful moment close to nature, the Botanical Garden in Mirpur is a must-visit destination. Visit early in the morning β the cool breeze and natural sounds will instantly refresh your mind and soul.
